Temple

Temple is a compound area for many sacred ceremonies. The compound consists of chapel, monastery, bell tower, shrine, pagoda, crematorium, etc.
In the old day, sacred ceremonies were held in unspecific place, for example, open space or in any building which was set a specific area for the sacred ceremonies. Since Buddhists have continuously increasing in numbers, with a belief that to build and devote a permanent building for Buddhist monks is a great merit, the number of temples have been increasing constantly.

The Chapels are normally decorated by a delicate interior decoration, for example mural painting, illustrating Buddha’s story. For the outside architecture is decorated by the most beautiful architectural ornaments due to the Buddhist’s faith to maintain and enhance Buddhism by building a chapel as a centre of faith, a place for sacred ceremonies and in order to devote for Buddha.

Shrine

Shrine is for the Buddhists to participate a sacred ceremony along with monks. It is also a place for enshrining important Buddha images.
